Adrenal
Adrenal glands produce hormones which impact nearly every organ in the body. They are small, triangular glands located on top of both kidneys which consist of the medulla (inner part) and the cortex (outer part). Adrenal glands secrete the hormones adrenaline and cortisol, which serve to control blood pressure, help the body deal with stress, break down fats and proteins to make sugar in the liver and affect sexual development and reproduction.
