Sibling Tours - Evanston Hospital

The Perinatal Family Support Center offers sibling tours for children ages 3 years and older whose families will be delivering at the Evanston Women’s Hospital.  Led by specially trained volunteers, the children see an age-appropriate photo-essay about labor and delivery and visit the newborn nursery and a postpartum mom’s room.  Discussions center around the care mom and baby will receive, a diapering demonstration, safe baby-holding techniques, and realistic expectations for the sibling’s first hospital visit after delivery.  Each tour is limited to 4 children and takes approximately 45 minutes.
